Caption Freedom march. Troops were marching at City Hall Wednesday as the Second Battalion of Princess Patrica's Canadian Light Infantry exercised its right to Freedom of the City. The noontime ceremony marked the first Exercise of the symbolic right since itas bestowed on the regiment in 1972. In a tradition dating back to Roman times, military units are given ceremonial freedom of the city to mark the fact that they have earned the city's trust.
