Spring breakup on Winnipeg's rivers, the sign that warmer weather is finally on the way, has brought with it the annual danger of children playing too near the riverbank or on iceflows. Winnipeg police have already reported several incidents where children have had to be pulled to safety and parents have been warned to watch out for their children.
