The Ukrainian Catholic Religious Education Centre: A Short History

The photos chosen for the web project, Women and Education, were derived from the Chronicles created by Sr. Carmela, selected for the Archeparchy of Winnipeg Archives, in particular for the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate fonds. The photos illustrate the commitment of the Sisters to the Ukrainian Catholic Religious Education Centre, and thereby their dedication to the hundreds of teachers and students and their families, whose lives have been enriched through their efforts over the years.

Currently, the Religious Education Centre continues to support and enrich the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy through various catechetical, liturgical and iconographic programmes. Practical workshops and retreats are organized regularly in order to provide support and spiritual nourishment for the catechists. The Centre’s resources, however, are readily available to the wider community.
